In an interview, Sherman Hemsley said that when he was young, he had a crush on an older girl named Louise and he gave her the nickname "Weezy". That memory came to mind when filming "The Jeffersons" so he started calling Isabel Sanford's character "Weezy". (the oil painting is by me)
