Mycenaean bronze sword with a golden hilt, 16th century BC., Mycenae, Greece. The hilt and shoulder are decorated in the cloisonne technique, in which the scale-pattern compartments are inlaid with lapis lazuli. The hilt design ends in two griffin or eagle heads [1920x623] [OC].
