Mechanic who worked for 13 hours in dirty environment in hot weather in a dry-fit shirt developed painful acne. Also gets it with detergents. What is it? It's over all of his back and neck. How can he sooth it?

Heavy blunt piece of broken glass fell and smacked my leg about 2 days ago. Went in sideways about 3/4 of an inch. Got stitches right away. Currently no fever or any crazy amount of pain. How does it look so far? Just wanting to know if the bruising is normal.
