The Peninsular War (1807-1814) resulted in Napoleonic French Soldiers and Spanish guerillas engaging in back and forth massacres of each other (as far as I understand). How did Napoleon view the massacres conducted by French Soldiers? Did he condone, condemn, or ignore it?
