Through the 18th-20th centuries, almost all colonies of the European powers achieved full independence. Among colonies of the Arab empires, on the other hand, only Israel has succeeded in de-colonisation, with groups like the Amazigh, Assyrians, and Kurds still subjugated by Arabised states. Why?
