Why was the car Kennedy was assassinated in kept in service (albeit massively rebuilt, hardtopped, and bulletproof) by the Secret Service? Was it a cost issue (prior modifications were costly), a "evildoers will not change our way of life" thing, or avoidance of a memento others might aspire to?
