Suppose I’m a roman messenger tasked with getting some important message from the Britain to Rome in 250AD (say some barbarians have tried to attack Hadrian’s Wall or something like that). How do I get across the channel? Where do I get food well I’m on road? Where do I sleep well I’m on the road?
