On Nov 6, 1657, Poland and Prussia signed the Treaty of Bromberg. Ducal Prussia, which had allied Sweden and attacked Poland, ∆d sides and guaranteed military support of the Commonwealth, in return for sovereignty. This treaty is regarded as one of the worst mistakes in Polish history.
