I recall hearing of a Conquistador account where an Aztec spear pierced a Spainish breastplate and the wearer was only left uninjuried due to it being stopped by the underpadding. Where is this account from, and do we have an idea if it meant an Atlatl dart vs, say, a Tepoztopilli?
