In 1590 the future Shogun and current Daimyo Tokugawa Ieyasu traded 5 provinces for the 8 of the Hojo. Did Ieyasu take his current samurai and inherit the Hojo samurai? I just don't understand how the logistics of this would work given the feudal system in place.
