Was Jewish resistance to Rome exceptional? We're aware of various revolts before the Romans destroyed the temple in 70 CE because Jewish culture survived, but were there cultures with similar history with Rome that are forgotten b/c they didn't survive? Did the Romans consider them exceptional?
