I’ve heard conflicting reports about Stalin’s reaction with the Japanese bombings. One about him knowing well before it was revealed (via a mole working in Manhattan). The other saying he found out post bombing, feeling betrayed, had ordered nuke R&D ultimately starting the Cold War. What’s right?
