Napoleon suffered a severe defeat and ignominiously died in a remote island as France recovered from the loss of lives, territory and money. What did the Bonapartists offer France for restoring another Napoleon? A return to glory and triumph? Or just a leader who wasn't a Bourbon or Orléanist?
