In Napoleon Hill’s 1937 classic “Think and Grow Rich”, he mentions that female homeless are “invisible. I presume they are there, but I do not see them; perhaps they kill themselves”. Where were the majority of jobless women in the American Great Depression? Did they “tramp” or do something else?
