I'm a peasant in early 17th Century Holland. Suddenly I hear about this tulip craze that's all the rage among the rich folk. Tulips are worth more than gold you say? One tulip could cost me my entire annual earning shucking oysters? No way. Please explain. How did tulips become so popular?
