Say I'm a 20 something lower-to-middle class White guy in the MidWest during the 1920s, what's the appeal to joining this new version of the Ku Klux Klan. Will it help me find or keep a good job? Is it simply useful to join a particular social circle? I don't care much about immigrants, so why join?
