I've heard some Chinese people promote "han superiority", similarly to white supremacy, and that the CP has put a lot of effort into combating that mentality. But when did this idea arise?, as a reaction to the Mongol Conquest?, to the Manchu Conquest?, to the Century of Humiliation?
