There are several figurines dating from the Upper Paleolithic Period and later that depict exaggeratedly voluptuous women, arguably obese. Would it have been possible, even when pregnant, for anyone of the Upper Paleolithic Period period to reach a comparable size on what was a preagricultural diet?
