Does A-pillar damage usually mean total loss? Brand new to this sub, but trying to relate my damage to some I’ve seen, and everywhere I’ve looked seems to think pillar damage is a total loss.

I was just in an accident and some are saying the car is totaled. It’s a 2012 Honda pilot with 58k with no rust and in excellent condition. I don’t think it should be but am looking for opinions. I’m freaking out, I just got this car in November after totaling my Camry.
