Decided to try something new. My first two blades. Both cut from 1/4" plate steel, shaped and beveled by hand. Heat treated over wood coals in a backyard brick blast furnace and normalized in the kitchen oven. Torture tested splitting seasoned hackberry logs and both held a nice sharp edge.
