2018 CR-V no warning, all lights flashing when trying to start. I popped the hood and saw corrosion on the battery. Can I just replace the battery, or is this more serious?

just recently got this 1997 toyota avalon xls with the very rare toyota branded oz racing forged alloy wheels, and a bench seat upfront. it has 129k miles on it and i paid 1800.

overfilled car with about 3/4 L of oil, idled for 10 minutes, drained oil to correct level, and now the engine rattles and spews out the exhaust. How badly did i mess up?
