The eastern window of York Minster in the medieval city of York, UK. Designed between 1405-8, the window stands 24m (78ft) tall. At about the size of a tennis court, the 311-panelled window is the largest expanse of medieval stained glass in the UK and is a treasure of European art. [1st picture=OC]
