I only summoned Ansbach to fight Leda and Thiollier isn't appearing for the final boss. Is there literally nothing I can do to fix this or get his armor and weapon?

Hey guys! Do freezing pots work to stop Malenia’s waterfowl in phase 2 also? I can’t 100% dodge wf and I hate the fact that she regains health even when I’m using a greatshield. It’s pretty much the only thing I don’t like about this fight
