Reading between the lines I think Haymitch was quite involved in helping Peeta with his recovery after his hijacking based on how informed he seems to be on how Peeta is doing- why do you think he does this as usually Haymitch’s coping mechanisms is avoidance?

Does anyone else find the abundance of Tribute deaths from Muttations really unrealistic from the Capitol's perspective? They wouldn't want to watch /so many/ Tributes to die to 'natural causes', or not at the hands of another Tribute.
