Umayyad bronze depicting caliph Abd al-Malik, thought to be the earliest image of a keffiyeh (traditional Arab headdress). Inscription states that it was struck in Jerusalem, Palestine (“Ilya Filistin”) in the year of the completion of the Dome of the Rock, 693 AD.
