[general chemistry] is zinc less dense than copper because the 4s orbital is further away from the nucleus than the 3d orbital, and having the 4s orbital full filled makes zinc less able to put the same mass in the same amount of space because copper doesn't have a filled 4s orbital?

any ideas... Seeing this on one of my rigs too. Never understood it.. in any of the metals involved magically become incompatible, if electrified with DC current?
