Sunset over the Brazos Cliffs - Rio Arriba County, New Mexico. The Brazos Cliffs are made of ancient Precambrian rocks over a billion years old. They were uplifted during the Laramide orogeny (80-55 million years ago) and later eroded, leaving the formation we see today.
