I was playing Assassins Creed ( set in 1436 AD) and noticed the doctors were wearing the pointy masks. I thought they used those masks for the black death. Did the practice of wearing the mask carry on after the black death, or is the game inaccurate on that part?

In most fiction featuring a dwarven race, they are commonly portrayed as legendary smiths that always dwell within the mountains. How did this trope come to pass, and is there any historical (mythological or otherwise) basis for this characterization?

in HBO's Rome the actress they had playing Cleopatra, has slightly darker features than most of the Roman cast, presumably because she's supposed to be North African. the Ptolemies were originally Greek, by the time of Cleopatra's birth had they interbred with native Egyptians much/at all?
