Is there a record of Native Americans that directly observed tornadoes? I'm interested in knowing what they thought of them (e.g., if tornadoes were tied up with any sort of mythology/spirituality) and whether they mentioned tornadoes to early European settlers or those that travelled west.

From a modern perspective, the humor in Looney Tunes/Merrie Melodies seems to be far ahead of its time and more similar to modern surreal/absurdist humor than anything released in the 40s/50s. What was the contemporary reaction to it? Did audiences at the time understand it?

my grandmother once told me there was an experiment in the 19th century where they fed a man to a whale to see if people really could survive inside them (IE like Jonah) and unsurprisingly they can't. was she talking about a real experiment that ever took place?

Why do I never hear anything about Jesus when I read about Roman history of the time. As in 30 BCE to 30 CE.
