In 'The Vietnam War: A Film by Ken Burns' it is said Truman never received letters from Ho Chi Minh asking him not to be blinded by the issue of Communsim and to intervene against French imperialism - why did Truman never receive these letters, despite there being copies of them in the Pentagon?
