It's theorized that patient's with severe COVID-19 suffer and die from cytokine storm. Perflubron, a breathable liquid perflurocarbon (PFC), may decrease cytokine production and reduce lung inflammation. Are there any trials using PFC on COVID-19 patients? Has it had any effect on mortality?
