Why does the prion associated with Bovine Spongiform Encephalopathy cause vCreutzfeldt–Jakob disease, yet the prions associated with Scrapie in sheep and Chronic Wasting Disease in deer appear to noninfectious? Shouldn't they also cause vCJD?
