When you stamp a pattern into leather, why is it permanent? Skin is rebounds by design. Is this a characteristic of tanning? Is it related to why it I sit on a mesh chair in shorts my thighs hold the pattern of the mesh for a bit? Could permanent skin embossing be possible or the next “tattoo”?
