Recently a lava lake 600 feet deep consisting of 21 million cubic meters of lava has formed in Hawaii's Kilauea volcano. Can we estimate how long this entire volume of lava will take to first solidify, and then reach ambient temperatures now that the active phase seems to be near an end?
