Doordarshan's "Eye Logo" was designed by an alumni of National Institute of Design Devashis Bhattacharyya and the Iconic Montage Tune was composed by Pandit Ravi Shankar and Ustad Ali Ahmed Hussain Khan as a classic rendition of "Sare Jahan Se Acha"
