I just read this in another subreddit and this kind of thing always happens to me. Say my total might be $5.26 - if I hand the cashier $6.01 they usually hand my penny back and say it’s 5.26, not realizing I’m giving them the penny to get 3 quarters back, instead of 2quarters, 2dimes, and 4 pennies
