Are the nuts used for pretty much all 1/4” jacks universal? I’ve got a box stuffed to the brim with vintage audio jacks but 90% of them don’t have the nut or washer anymore so I need to source them.

Anyone using stubby screw machine drill bits on your enclosures? If so, do you graduate up in bit sizes making holes or start with the size you need?
