I'm getting a crash when joining my server

Need help with overusage of memory being taken, I have 30 mods and it only started doing this recently, my game goes up to 11gb of ram being used and then crashes. Idk how to fix it. Running 1.7.10, I have my minecraft set to only using 4gb but it goes way beyond that.
