Brown spots on and around spider plant, like no scale I've ever seen. looked at under microscope and still at a loss. some sort of fungi?

Strobilomyces growing from base of pine tree? After doing plenty of research, I have found that Strobilomyces species grow in mycorrhiza with oak. This one was growing from the base of a pine tree.
