how do i remove the hard desk with question mark icon on the apps ?

First Time Builder - I have a ROG THOR1200PSU, the I have two CPU Cables with at total of 16pins, and my MB only has 12pins available. Is it ok to use 12 and leave the extra dongle (which is attached to the other one) hanging/ ziptied?
