I’ve had this succulent for years but it started rotting recently. I know I can propagate the little pups but can I also cut off the top and root that or is it too far gone?

Help! My Fuyu persimmon tree's leaves are turning yellow and droopy. I got it last Nov in a pot. Planted it in Jun, fertilized in Jul. It's been 80°F, watering 7 min every other day. Rocks for drainage & some new soil on top then put whole tree with existing soil in hole. How can I help it thrive?

Is this a pest? Just bought this jade plant (last photo), I removed the alive spider in first photo and there were some small dead black bug things (pics 2-3). There are some spider webs on it. I am quarantining it. Should I be concerned?
