Dumb question: if I'm singing notes going up the scale on a keyboard/piano there will be a line/note where I shift him from chest to head, correct?

I don't think people like my voice. Is this simply insecurity or is there any actual major problems with my singing, like forcing a sound, tremolo instead of vibrato?
