About the Australian Brown Snake;I’ve been reading that their venom changes as they age, and that the antivenom doesn’t work as well for a bite from a young one. It sounds made up, but, not impossible. I’ve never heard of this here in Western Australia, but, we have Brown Snakes, too, so . . .
