Driving from Tulum to Chichén Itzá and then to Valladolid in 2 weeks. Concerned about safety after recent news. I've read older articles saying it's plenty safe, to just be careful on the drive due to road conditions, and pickpockets and scammers over there. Anybody have recent experience or advice?
