Found in Chicago, IL. Sorry for the picture they were so small! Smaller than my fingernail. They weren’t biting or anything though, and they could fly.

What is this bite from, and is it infected? Was sat outside and felt a little sting and saw a bug on my leg, flicked it off. First photo is minutes after, right is today. Located in UK.
