If you use a level 20 free trial character to boost on MoP Remix you can NOT PLAY that character during the welcome back weekend because the level 20 restriction will be lifted. That character will level past 20 and be unable to do the boosting.

From the recent SoD Dev interview - they recognize that WSG and AB have been completely abandoned because of earlier phase rewards + Alterac Valley is superior for honor and would like to find ways to incentivize WSG and AB in the very near future ("Sooner rather than later")
