Like Theseus of old, who sought to kill the Minotaur of the Labyrinth, he tied a rope onto his leg so he could find his way back out of the twisting caverns that lay before him. Hours later, after hearing nothing from him, we pulled on the rope to bring him back, only to find the line had been cut.
