Why does Rome (Exc. The Vatican) not have a major, world class, museum? What does the grandeur of the Vatican Museum/British Museum relative to any Roman museum tell us?

Was there ever a medieval-antiquity tradition of big game hunting as recreation we know of? What were the methodologies and points of interest?

I'm a rural Classical Greek and I've just found an abandoned baby orphan. I cannot afford to raise it myself, what courses of action are there to me? Other than turning a blind eye of course. (Plus, reading request on non urban Greeks)

I'm a 9th Century Saxon who just so happens to have a lot of money (It fell of a wagon). I walk up to the nearest king and I stab him to death. Assuming I diffuse the situation with any witnesses, can I really just pay the wergild to his kin and now I'm off the hook?

In the 14th Century Edward III of England banned the import of woollen cloth in an attempt to develop local manufacturing. How effective would this ban be? Did agents search incoming boats for wool? Was wool smuggling prolific?
