Do we know why exactly the Romans dubbed Ireland as being 'Hibernia' - the land of winter? Were the Romans not aware of areas further north than that, such as today's Scotland or Denmark, by the time they named Ireland this? Is it because Irish summers are reminiscent of Italian winters?
