When we increase the temperature of a system, the atoms in that system vibrate more. Do they increase in frequency or amplitude? or both?

If an electron can be ANY distance away from the nucleus, regardless of the probability of it being there, then would that not constitute part of the volume of the atom? If so, then the atom's volume would reach infinitely in any direction. So, how can you then say that at atom has a finite volume?
